How to Navigate My Pools

The My Pools page is the main console for all things pool related.

If there's a page to bookmark on our site, the My Pools page IS THE ONE!

From this page, you can:

  1. Change Pool Handles
  2. Start / Join a Pool
  3. View Past Pools
  4. Access Joined Pools

1. Change Pool Handles

Pool handles are the names you use to play in pools. While the same handle can be joined to multiple pools, unique handles need to be joined when playing multiple entries in the same pool.

To change handles, select the corresponding handle from the "Select Pool Handle" dropdown. The My Pools page will reload with the pools the selected handle is joined in.

Tip:
You can manage your pool handles from the My Handles page. From there, you can:

2. Start / Join a Pool

To start your own pool:

  1. Click the "Start Pool" button
  2. You will be taken to our Pool Configuration Wizard, which will step you through the pool creation process.

To join a pool:

  1. Click the "Join Pool" button
  2. You will be taken to our "Join Pool" page
  3. From there, you can:
    • Join any active Public pool
    • Search or Join any active Private pool (note you will need the Pool password to join)

3. View Past Pools

All pools played on OPJ are kept for historical purposes so you can relive days of glory (or obscurity 😄) from previously played pools.

You can toggle between active and past (or archived) pools by clicking the corresponding "Active Pools" and "Archived Pools" tabs.

4. Access Joined Pool

Every pool the selected handle is joined in will be displayed in it's own Pool Card, which contains 3 parts:

  1. Pool Card Header
  2. Pool Card Body
  3. Pool Card Footer
Pool Card

Figure 2: The Pool Card

Pool Card Header

The pool card header displays the pool's name, league, season and format.

Tip:
Click/tap the pool card header to "enter" the pool. By default, you will be taken to the pool's pick sheet. For help on how to navigate within a pool, click here.

Pool Card Body

The pool card body displays key information about the pool:

Item Description
Pick Status

Reflects the status of your pool picks:
Incomplete means your picks haven't been completely entered
Complete means your picks have been completely entered

Notes:
If the pool expects picks on a weekly basis (e.g. Pick 'Em, Confidence, Margin or Survivor), the Pick Status will be reflective of the pool's current week.
For a Squares pool format, the convention displayed is X / Y, where X and Y reflect the number of squares you picked and the total number of squares picked respectively.

Tips:
On Desktop: hovering over the Pick Status yields a tooltip that provides more details (i.e. what picks are missing). Clicking the Pick Status will take you to the pool's pick sheet.
On Mobile: tapping the Pick Status will take you to the pool's pick sheet.

Paid Status

Pool admins have the ability to track entry fees received (under the Manage Participants page). The paid status reflects what your pool admin has tracked for your entry:
No means your entry hasn't been marked as paid
Yes means your entry has been marked as paid

Tips:
On Desktop: hovering over the Paid Status yields a tooltip that provides more details (i.e. what's owed versus paid).
On Mobile: tapping the Paid Status yields a tooltip that provides more details (i.e. what's owed versus paid).

Rank

Reflects your current standings rank(s) in the pool.

Note:
If the pool declares weekly and final winners, ranks for the pool's current week and overall will be displayed.

Tips:
On Desktop: hovering over the Standings Rank yields a tooltip that provides more details. Clicking the Standings Rank will take you to the pool's standings page.
On Mobile: tapping the Standings Rank will take you to the pool's standings page.

Messages

Shows the pool's message board summary. The convention used is X / Y, where X and Y reflect the number of post made since your last login and total number of posts respectively

Tips:
On Desktop: hovering over the Message Board Summary yields a tooltip that explains the X / Y convention. Clicking the Message Board Summary will take you to the pool's message board.
On Mobile: tapping the Message Board Summary will take you to the pool's message board.
