How To Administer an Office Pool
Office Pool Junkie has many tools available to help you run your pool as easily as possible. We provide an overview of each function below.

Entering Picks For a Participant
As Pool Admin, you can enter/edit picks for any of your pool participants from the pool's pick sheet:
- Click Page Settings from the Pool Navigation menu
- Select the corresponding participant from the "Select Participant" dropdown
- Click "Go"
- Make their picks as you would your own
Note:
If you've configured your pool with Restricted Admin Privileges, picks changes will only be allowed to be made BEFORE any pick deadlines.
Accessing Pool Admin Functions
Admin functions are accessible under the Pool Admin section of the Pool Menu.
The more frequently used Admin functions are also accessible from the pool card footer on the My Pools page:
- Edit Pool Configuration
- Manage Participants
Managing Participants
The Manage Participants page provides you the ability to:
- Remove Pool Entries
- Lock/Unlock Pool Entries
- Toggle Entries' Paid Status
- Access Participants' Picks
- Send E-mail to Participants
- Export Participants to csv File
You can access the Manage Participants under the Pool Admin section of the Pool Menu, or by clicking the functional icon from the pool card footer on the My Pools page.
Tip:
The Manage Participants' Page Settings allows you to search/filter the list or participants accordingly (e.g. by name/e-mail/pool handle, by unpaid/paid status, and more).
Remove Pool Entries
Removing entries removes them from the pool entirely.
You can remove pool entries from the Manage Participants page:
- Check the boxes next to the entries you want to remove
- Select "Remove From Pool" from the "Select Action" dropdown list
- Click "Go"
- Confirm your action when prompted
Lock/Unlock Pool Entries
Locking participants keeps them in the pool, but prevents them from accessing any pool pages: a handy method for getting the attention of delinquent payers.
You can lock (or unlock) pool entries from the Manage Participants page:
- Check the boxes next to the entries you want to lock/unlock
- Select "Toggle Lock Status" from the "Select Action" dropdown list
- Click "Go"
Warning:
If a selected entry's current status is unlocked, they will be toggled to locked!
Note:
The icon will be displayed next to any entry that is locked.
Tip:
You can also click on the icon next to an entry to unlock it.
Toggle Entries' Paid Status
The Paid Status displayed to your participants in the pool card body of their My Pools page reflects the paid statuses you control.
You can toggle entries' paid statuses from the Manage Participants page:
- Check the boxes next to the entries you want to toggle paid statuses for
- Select "Toggle Paid Status" from the "Select Action" dropdown list
- Click "Go"
Warning:
If a selected entry's current status is paid, they will be toggled to unpaid!
Note:
The icon next to an entry indicates a paid status, where the icon indicates a unpaid status.
Tip:
You can also click the paid status icon to toggle a corresponding entry's paid status.
Access Participants' Picks
You can access any of your participants' pick sheet from the Manage Participants page:
Tips:
icons indicate picks are made
icons indicate picks are not made
Send E-mail to Participants
You can initiate an e-mail to participants from the Manage Participants page:
- Check the boxes next to the entries you want to e-mail
- Select "Send E-mail" from the "Select Action" dropdown list
- Click "Go"
This will pre-populate our "Broadcast Pool Email" form with the selected participants' e-mail addresses, where you can compose your e-mail.
Warning:
Because a) we will only e-mail validated addresses and b) our e-mails occasionally land in Junk/Spam folders, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING YOUR OWN E-MAIL CLIENT TO SEND POOL EMAILS!
Export Participants to csv File
You can export your participants' details to a csv (comma separated value) file from the Manage Participants page:
- Check the boxes next to the entries you want to export
- Select "Export to CSV" from the "Select Action" dropdown list
- Click "Go"
- The resulting file will be automatically downloaded by your brower
Managing Invites
The Manage Invites page provides you the ability to:
You can access the Manage Invites under the Pool Admin section of the Pool Menu.
Invite participants from previous pools
You can invite participants from previous pools to join your pool from the Manage Invites page:
- Check the corresponding boxes from the bottom "Other Participants from Your Previous Pools" table
- Click the "Send Invitation to Selected Participants" button
This will pre-populate our Broadcast Pool Email form with the selected e-mail addresses, where you can compose your invitation.

Because a) we will only e-mail validated addresses and b) our e-mails occasionally land in Junk/Spam folders, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING YOUR OWN E-MAIL CLIENT TO SEND POOL INVITES!
Re-invite previous invitees to your pool
You can re-invite previous invitees (i.e. people you've already invited to join your pool) from the Manage Invites page:
- Check the corresponding boxes from the top "Invited to Play in This Pool" table
- Click the "Re-Send Invitation to Selected Addresses" button
This will pre-populate our Broadcast Pool Email form with the selected e-mail addresses, where you can compose your invitation.
Warning:
Because a) we will only e-mail validated addresses and b) our e-mails occasionally land in Junk/Spam folders, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING YOUR OWN E-MAIL CLIENT TO SEND POOL INVITES!
Adding a Pool Notice
You can post a message that will be displayed on all your pool pages:
- Click "Add Pool Notice" under the Pool Admin section of the Pool Menu
- The "Add Pool Notice" window will show up
- Type the message you want displayed
- Click "Save"
Tips:
Click the "More" link below the box to make it bigger.
Clearing the contents and saving will prevent the Pool Notice from being displayed.
Editing your Pool Config
You can edit your pool configuration should you need to change any settings:
- Click "Edit Pool Config" under the Pool Admin section of the Pool Menu, or click the functional icon from the pool card footer on the My Pools page.
- You will be taken the Pool Configuration Wizard
- Step through the Wizard and make any required changes
Warning:
Some settings can not be changed once pool picks have been made.
Tip:
From the Pool Configuration Wizard, you can also reset your pool (i.e. delete all pool picks) or delete your pool entirely.
